Construction commences at Quest’s latest Victorian property

Quest Apartment Hotels is continuing its expansion in Melbourne, with construction commencing on Quest Notting Hill, located at 5 Acacia Place.

The development site is situated within Ferntree Business Park, in the heart of the Monash National Employment and Innovation Cluster, home to Melbourne’s high-tech community and Monash University. The Monash employment precinct already supports approximately 75,000 jobs across a diverse range of industries, and with this number expected to double over the next 30 years, Quest Notting Hill is well positioned to cater to the increasing number of corporate travellers as well as leisure and business tourism traffic to the area.

On site to mark the occasion was Merkon Director - Peter Mercoulia Snr and Quest Apartment Hotels General Manager – Growth, James Shields.

Federal Member for Bruce, Mr Julian Hill MP, said Notting Hill is going through a period of transformation.

“As the Federal Member and also a Notting Hill resident I welcome new investment and jobs in our area. Quest’s development will help to address the shortage of quality accommodation, especially for business travellers, in the Monash region,” said Mr Hill.

James Shields said Quest Notting Hill is in line with the company’s national growth strategy and reinforces its commitment to meeting the needs of emerging inner urban business centres.

“Quest Notting Hill’s location will make it a highly appealing accommodation choice for many of Ferntree Business Park’s multi-national tenancies, including Olympus, Schneider Electric, DePuy Synthes and Dräger, said Mr Shields.

The property will feature 100 studios, one and two bedroom apartments as well as facilities including conference rooms, business lounge, a gymnasium and outdoor terrace with barbeque area. Quest Notting Hill will be the 53rd Quest property in Melbourne and is expected to open in 2019.
