GUZMAN Y GOMEZ HAS GOT YOUR BACK

Australia’s favourite Mexican, Guzman y Gomez (GYG) has made the decision to reduce the price of burritos and bowls for their guests to $9.90. A meal under $10 which is healthy and prepared fresh in-store daily is one of many ways the company will support Australians over the coming weeks.

In light of the government’s latest announcement to close non-essential services, GYG will remain open for takeaway, drive-thru, delivery and GYG App orders. 

 

GYG CEO and Founder, Steven Marks said, “We want Australians to know we’ve got their back and that all GYG restaurants are offering $9.90 burritos and bowls nationally. We are open for takeaway, App order pick up, drive thru and delivery. Keeping our communities fed is very important to us right now. We understand that life has been turned upside down, and as long as Australians need to find healthier food options, we will remain open for them.

 

He added, “GYG takes the threat of the COVID-19 crisis very seriously however we also have an obligation to Australians who, for many reasons, cannot access what they require at supermarkets at this time. Our business is also a convenient option for workers and families who are allowing some level of normality to continue.”

 

What’s the deal? 

  • All regular sized burritos and bowls are $9.90 for a limited time (includes all fillings including chicken, slow-cooked beef, ground beef (mince), pulled pork, fish & vege fillings).  
  • Guac is extra. 

How do I purchase? 

  • Offer available at all GYG restaurants nationally through takeaway, drive-thru, pick up and via the GYG App.
  • This deal is not available via delivery.

GYG has always been obsessed about crew hygiene and food safety and will continue to follow advice and recommendations provided by the Australian Government and WHO in relation to COVID-19. In order to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19, GYG has implemented a range of additional safety measures to date, including:

  • Contactless pick up in all restaurants 

  • Contactless drive-thru pick up for drive-thru guests

  • Signage to encourage guests to self-distance at all times per Government guidelines  

  • Floor decals to guide guests on social distancing measures required 

  • Provision of hand sanitizer in all restaurants for guests and crew 

  • Closure of all dining rooms as per Government guidelines  

  • The crew are handwashing and changing gloves every hour with timers

  • Increased frequency of cleaning and sanitisation of guest areas 

  • Closed self-service salsa stations and are fulfilling condiment requests from the kitchen
