Oporto builds its presence in the Queensland market with four new restaurants

Oporto is set to open four new restaurants over the next month to continue to expand its offering across the entire South East Queensland region.

Oporto is currently recruiting for all the new restaurants in Burleigh Heads, Rothwell, Northlakes and Birtinya which will bring over 200 new jobs to South East Queensland.

The new restaurant openings will not only continue to bring more premium fast food dining to the Queensland shoreline for consumers to experience authentic Portuguese chicken, they will also bring its innovative flair to the market whilst providing exciting new career opportunities.

With two stores in the Moreton Bay area, and an additional presence on the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, Oporto will be actively involved in these local communities and seeking local community groups to support and partner with.

Oporto CEO, Craig Tozer said, “Here at Oporto we love to support young ambitious people and are proud to keep promoting the entrepreneurial spirit with the opening of new restaurants in Queensland. We strive to give our employees the best training and support at every stage of their career to thrive in the business and grow with the brand. We are so proud of our unique Portuguese heritage and Australian upbringing, and we like to think of our people as part of our family.”

“We have many positions available to suit each individual, from store managers to part-time or casual positions. If you’d love to embark on a new adventure and you’re someone who loves a challenge and thrives in an energetic environment with a supportive network, we would love to see you join our team. Queensland remains a key growth market for us and we have a five-year plan to grow our footprint in this region with new CX design restaurants, new career opportunities and local initiatives to support the community.”

Oporto currently has over 160 stores nationwide and over 100 franchisees.
