Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt arrives in Bondi

Bondi Beach – One of the world’s great beaches, famous for its glistening ocean, pristine sands, reliable surf and seaside spirit, is now home to Sydney’s first Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt store.

Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt is a self-serve, choose-your-own-toppings frozen dessert established in the US in 2010. It is one of the fastest-growing frozen yogurt chains in the world with more than 230 outlets across the US.

Orange Leaf’s first two Australian stores opened last year, in Port Melbourne and Torquay in Victoria. Both stores have reported great results, with the Torquay store among the best performed Orange Leaf stores in the world during the first eight weeks of 2013.

Unlike other frozen yogurt brands, Orange Leaf customers grab a cup, choose their favourite yogurt and toppings, and weigh and pay by the gram.

“Self-serve is the ideal model for a bustling area like Bondi, where people want to have a great experience and demand faster service,” said new franchisee Yahya Kanj. “They decide how much they put in a cup and on average spend between $4 and $6.” His shop has more than 65 different flavours.

The shop has more than 65 flavors and will have 10 unique flavours at any given time ranging from fresh fruit such as Blueberry, Coconut and Passion Fruit, to the more sweet and indulgent such as Cookies and Cream, White Chocolate and Cotton Candy. Add to that over 36 different toppings and sauces to choose from and the possibilities are endless.

Master franchise holder Joe Rossi anticipates new stores opening in Sydney and Brisbane before the end of the year.
