This May, the colour of choice for Amber will be pink as the Company gets behind the McGrath Foundation’s efforts, raising funds to place McGrath breast-care nurses in communities across Australia, and increase breast awareness among young Australian women.
Amber’s ‘Pink Month’ commences 1st May and will encourage customers and partners to help the Amber team make an impact on the availability of health care services for breast cancer sufferers.
“When we first got behind the McGrath Foundation with the Amber Pink Month last year, it brought to the surface just how many of our Amber family had either battled breast cancer, or supported close friends and family through the ordeal,” said Amber Tiles Managing Director, Phil Crawford.
“This shared commitment across our team and family of franchisees to pool our resources has made a real difference, both in terms of our contribution to the McGrath Foundation and the sense of community it’s established within Amber.
“By coming together across our network of stores in support of the McGrath Foundation, we can play a part in making sure more Australians suffering from this dreadful disease have access to the professional care they need, no matter where they live in Australia and regardless of their financial situation,” Phil said.
In addition to hosting their own fundraising events, each Amber store will make in-store changes including pink signage, co-branded pink staff attire and fuchsia-coloured invoice paper.
Stores will have McGrath foundation merchandise available for sale as well as offering opportunities to donate at point of sale. Amber has committed to raising at least $10,000and is also encouraging direct donations at its Go Fundraise page, http://mcgrathfoundation.gofundraise.com.au/page/ambertiles14
The Amber team will also host a fundraising high tea at Waterview, Bicentennial Park on Saturday 17 May with all proceeds to go to the McGrath foundation. Tickets are strictly limited.
