Back in Action: Hog’s to reopen in Glenelg, and rehire staff

The restaurant, in Adelaide’s southwest, is slated to reopen at the end of June, with a final date to be confirmed in the coming weeks. The return of Hog’s Glenelg will see locals happy to have the iconic steakhouse back within the region.

Thirteen staff members from the previous Glenelg and Holden Hill locations have been re-hired for the front and back-of-house operations of the restaurant.

Returning patrons will notice the restaurant’s updated interior design elements, including new floors and paint to give it a refreshed look.

Mr Turner brings a wealth of experience in business management to the role of franchisee. He’s an army veteran with a strong background in technology, and he’s excited to apply his strengths to this new venture.

“Hog’s has been a staple in my and my family’s life for years now,” said Turner. “When I heard Glenelg was closing, I knew I had to do something.”

He and his newly appointed manager, Allirra Chaunut, have undergone extensive training at Hog’s head office in Cleveland, QLD to ensure they’re prepared for the roles. Ms Chaunut comes with many years of experience in hospitality management.

“I’m excited to take on the challenge of reopening Hog’s Glenelg”, said Turner. “My hope is that we can find our way back into the hearts of locals and find some new fans, as well.”
