Specialist bedding franchise, Bedshed, has launched an e-commerce platform allowing its franchisees to offer customers an online shopping facility.
Bedshed’s new Dreamsense Click & Collect website satisfies customers who wish to shop online from the comfort of their own home. Bedshed General Manager, Gavin Culmsee said the website offers a comprehensive range of Bedshed’s own Dreamsense label for collection from the closest store or for delivery.
“Customers’ buying habits have changed dramatically in recent years and as retailers we need to adapt. We’ve been somewhat insulated from the challenge online shopping has posed for many retailers due to the nature of a bed purchase, however we have been working on an e-commerce offering for some time.
“Our strategy has been to develop an e-commerce platform that would offer convenience to customers and provide franchisees with a tool to generate online sales. We’re delighted to launch the Dreamsense Click & Collect website and have been encouraged by strong demand from customers during the initial launch phase,” he said.
The website allows customers to pick from a comprehensive range of Dreamsense mattresses, select their closest Bedshed store, and choose a date and time for collection or delivery. Customers can either pay over the phone or in-store when they collect their mattress.
Bedshed franchisee Graham Gibson said he was pleased to now offer online shopping for customers.
“Although most people will come into the store to test out a bed – sit on it, lie down – we were keen to offer the convenience of being able to shop 24/7 for the growing number of customers seeking a quicker solution. As a member of Bedshed’s working group for the Dreamsense Click & Collect website, it’s very exciting to see the project come to life,” he said.
