Brumby’s Bakery is starting a new era of baking and is looking to recruit Franchisees to open new look Brumby’s Evolution stores across the country. After starting as one of Australia’s first franchises in 1975, the bakery franchise has risen to its current position as one of the leading names in baked goods. With a growing demand from consumers for healthy, clean eating alternatives, Brumby’s is well placed to enter what they are calling a new era of baking.
Clean eating is a trend growing in popularity among ‘foodies’ and families alike, along with a move into the mainstream for ‘ancient grains’ like chai seeds and quinoa as reported by Innova Market Insights in January 2014*, with lifts in the focus on wholegrains and other health benefits in breads reported this month**.
Brumby’s is well placed to leverage these changing food trends through their Evolution outlets; the first of which opened in Brisbane in December 2013. This ‘store of the future’ makes it clear how Brumby’s will remain relevant to consumers throughout the coming decades with a new logo, colour palette, store design, menu and product range.
Brumby’s Managing Director Kevin Waite said the new Brumby’s Evolution stores will appeal to the growing ‘foodie’ and health conscious consumer market.
“With a wide range of new products including our Get Active range of breads- loaves that contain swiss seed, soy, quinoa and other wholesome grains, we are well placed to adapt to a market expecting innovation from their local bakery,” said Mr Waite.
“Our bread is baked fresh in store daily using traditional scratch baking methods and is made from 100% Australian wheat and our loaves are preservative free, so families can feel good about choosing Brumby’s bread for their families.”
Brumby’s is looking to open several new stores over the coming months, all with the new Evolution look and feel. Mr Waite believes potential Franchisees will come from all walks of life, but will all have a passion for good food.
“We are looking for new Franchisees to open our Evolution stores with multiple sites available across the country,” said Mr Waite.
“Applicants don’t require any previous baking experience or retail experience as we offer intensive courses including baking theory, baking practise and retail operations at our world class training academy. We are looking for enthusiastic self-starters who have a passion for good food and want to be their own boss. Assistance with set up costs is available to suitable applicants.”
