Gloria Jean’s Coffees’ national fundraising campaign Cappuccino for a Cause organised through its charitable foundation With Heart, has raised one hundred and six thousand dollars for Variety – the Children’s Charity.
The funds raised will be used to improve the lives of Australian children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs, helping them overcome the obstacles they face and live life to the fullest.
Gloria Jean’s coffee houses throughout the country proudly supported the Cappuccino for a Cause campaign with a donation of 50 cents from the sale of each cappuccino going to Variety on two key fundraising days in March. In a groundbreaking move, Gloria Jean’s Coffees Foundation, With Heart, doubled the 50 cent donation for 62,000 cappuccinos sold during the campaign. Additional funds were also raised from the sale of cupcakes and donation boxes.
Many local communities also embraced the campaign’s superhero theme, participating in face painting and dress up activities and donating generously to the campaign.
Angela Saleh, founder of With Heart said, “We’re delighted to announce the incredible financial achievement of this year’s Cappuccino for a Cause fundraising campaign. It’s a special occasion for all our coffee houses to really connect with their guests and work collectively towards providing a brighter future for disadvantaged kids in Australia.”
Tam Johnston, CEO, Variety – the Children’s Charity NSW said, “The money raised from people’s generous consumption of Gloria Jean’s cappuccinos and cupcakes earlier this year will help improve the lives of many Aussie kids in need. Without the help of companies like Gloria Jean’s Coffees, we wouldn’t be able to carry out the work that we do.”
