Popular health and wellness retailer City Cave has opened its doors for the first time in Townsville at lifestyle destination Fairfield & Co. City Cave Idalia, located in Fairfield & Co’s second stage features three infrared saunas, three float therapy rooms, and three uniquely private massage rooms for individuals or couples.
Franchisee Trudy Hudson said she was excited to bring the nationally recognisable lifestyle retailer to Townsville and believes the Fairfield & Co site will help to support the large population base of elite athletes and soldiers in the area.
“Float therapy is said to improve sleep quality, reduce inflammation, and decrease stress, while infrared saunas can also improve heart health and muscle recovery – so City Cave is a great place to start your health and wellness journey,” Ms Hudson said.
The Townsville opening follows a string of openings last year, including City Caves expansion into Victoria in November 2022. City Cave launched in 2016 and has been franchising since 2018 – and has seen rapid growth since. The Queensland-based franchise business has more than tripled in size with more than 60 sites now across the eastern seaboard of Australia, up from 16 sites in early 2021.
The new Townsville site is a part of City Cave’s regional expansions plans, with towns like Hervey Bay and Coffs Harbour key areas of interest for 2023.
