Clark Rubber Toowoomba named ‘National Best Practice Franchise of the Year’


Clark Rubber Toowoomba has recently been crowned Clark Rubber’s ‘National Best Practice Franchise of the Year’ at the 2014 Clark Rubber Annual Conference held in Adelaide, Australia from 24th of March to 28th of March.
Bringing together Clark Rubber’s national network of franchisees, the annual conference celebrates and recognises excellence across the business. This year, Clark Rubber Toowoomba took home the top prize, outperforming 78 other stores across Australia.

Franchisees Marlene and Peter Scott were thrilled when their store was awarded this year’s top title.

“We are really passionate about what we do, so winning this incredible award is a fantastic recognition of that, and truly is the icing on the cake for us – we’re all a little bit speechless,” Marlene said.

During the 18 years that Marlene and Peter have been the franchise owners of the Toowoomba Clark Rubber, the couple have developed the business enormously, establishing it as one of the most successful within the Clark Rubber network.

“We have all been working really hard, so it’s rewarding to see that it’s paid off. It’s really satisfying to be able to show the team that their dedication to Clark Rubber Toowoomba is appreciated. We are lucky to have such a loyal network of customers – without them, this award would not be possible,” continued Marlene.

The National award was judged across a number of key areas including year on year sales increases, participation in staff training, compliance with the Clark Rubber model and store merchandising standards among others. Chris Malcolm, Clark Rubber Franchising Chief Executive Officer, presented Marlene and Peter with the award at the conference’s Gala Dinner in front of over 300 of their peers, suppliers, and Clark Rubber associates.

Clark Rubber’s key suppliers are also recognised at the annual conference, with several awards committed to recognising the importance of the relationship between suppliers and Clark Rubber.

This year, Dunlop Foams was presented with the highly regarded ‘Supplier of the year award’, beating a number of suppliers including AIW and Salmat.

Kerrie Blyth, Dunlop Foams National Account Manager for Clark Rubber was thrilled to have won the award.
