Former human resources and payroll officer Anu Chaggar has traded in her nine to five job to take to the road with The Coffee Guy, launching Australia’s newest mobile coffee franchise in New South Wales.
The Coffee Guy is driving its high quality coffee blend into Sydney for the first time since successfully launching in the Australian mobile coffee market in Queensland in May 2013, with Anu set to become north west Sydney’s favourite on-the-go barista in her Castle Hill territory.
Anu decided to take the leap and her love for coffee to the next level by becoming her own boss, and was drawn to the convenience mobile coffee industry due to the low-cost start up and flexibility of The Coffee Guy.
“The Coffee Guy really suits my ideal lifestyle and gives me an element of control which you can’t get as an employee working eight hours a day,” she said.
“My motivation to buy a The Coffee Guy franchise sparked from a visit overseas where I worked in a franchise and loved it so much that I got the idea to start my own business and have a career change.
“The coffee is delicious, the training and support was exceptional and I feel confident that I made the right decision stepping into this business.”
Since being on the road, Anu has brewed at least 2,500 coffees and driven over 1,000 kilometres within the Castle Hill community.
“It’s been an incredible couple of months and the highlight has definitely been meeting my new local customers,” said Anu.
“They all love their coffee and joke that I am ‘The Coffee Lady!’”
From humble beginnings ten years ago in Auckland, The Coffee Guy has grown throughout Australia to become a local icon in select territories throughout the country.
