Deb Farnworth-Wood named as QLD Finalist for EY Entrepreneur Of The Year

Deb Farnworth-Wood, managing director of leading Australian medi-aesthetic franchise, Australian Skin Clinics, has been named as one of the Queensland finalists for the 2016 EY Entrepreneur of the Year award.

The awards program recognises those who are building and leading successful, growing and dynamic businesses.

Established on the Gold Coast in 1996, Australian Skin Clinics is one of the Gold Coast’s original laser and skin rejuvenation clinics and has risen to become one of Australia’s fastest growing franchises, with Ms Farnworth-Wood at the helm.

“I am honoured to be nominated as a Queensland finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award. It is very rewarding to realise your dream of growing from a single clinic in Ashmore, to a national franchise network that has become one of the market leaders in medi-aesthetics and cosmetic treatments,” said Ms Farnworth-Wood.

“We now have 24 Australian Skin Clinic franchises nation-wide and are looking forward to our exciting expansion plans for the rest of this year and 2017.”

Ms Farnworth-Wood is up against 13 other talented entrepreneurs from Queensland, all of which will participate at a national level in Sydney later this year, with the overall Australian winner then competing for the title of EY World Entrepreneur of the Year in Monte Carlo.

The nomination represents years of hard work from Ms Farnworth-Wood and the Australian Skin Clinics team.

“A successful business model and growing consumer demand has propelled us to where we are today,” said Ms Farnworth-Wood.

“When developing the Australian Skin Clinics business model, I saw an opportunity to provide customers an experience unlike any other in the marketplace – the highest quality service at affordable prices. Our strategy has been to set the benchmark in quality across all levels of our business including staff training and recruitment, client experience and treatment effectiveness”.

Recently placing in Vogue’s Top medi-spas in Australia and number seven in the 2015 BRW Fast Starters list, Australian Skin Clinics offers a range of results-driven cosmetic treatments to suit a wide spectrum of customer both in age and gender.
