Exciting new venue for Sydney Franchising & Business Opportunities Expo 2014

As the saying goes – as one door closes another one opens; and the temporary closure of the Darling Harbour Exhibition Centre has meant a new and exciting venue for the Sydney Franchising & Business Opportunities Expo, which will be held at the Royal Hall of Industries at Moore Park, from 28-30 March 2014.

Exhibition Manager Fiona Stacey couldn’t be more pleased. “This venue is only 10 minutes from the CBD with easy access by car or public transport, and free two-hour parking.” she says. “It’s also convenient for exhibitors, with level loading dock access directly onto the show floor and excellent surrounding facilities.”

The Franchising & Business Opportunities Expo is a must for anyone who is a part of, or wishes to join, Australia’s vibrant and profitable franchising industry.

“Events like the Franchising and Business Opportunities Expo allow a close up look at brands you may be interested in,” says the Franchise Council of Australia’s General Manager, Kym De Britt.

“One of the fundamental ingredients for success as a franchisee is brand passion and culture fit. Being able to speak face to face with franchisors and compare several businesses under one roof is incredibly valuable.”

A highlight of the Expo will be the seminar series, featuring a range of business and franchising experts. Franchising consultant Jane Lombard is the Master Franchisee NSW & ACT of The Franchise Shop, and she will be presenting a session focusing on Master Franchising.

“There are currently some excellent opportunities in the marketplace to purchase master franchises,” she says.

“Having owned three franchises, I am a strong advocate of what franchising offers as a business model. There are many reasons for this, but personally I think the biggest reason is because both the franchisor and the franchisee are inter-dependent on each other for success, and it is very much a case of a team being able to achieve so much more than an individual.”

Free registration and information about attending the Sydney Franchising and Business Opportunities Expo are available at www.franchisingexpo.com.au.

“The Sydney show will be followed by the Franchising and Business Opportunities Expos in Brisbane and then Melbourne, and each show features local, national and international enterprises, large and small,” says Fiona Stacey.

“Entry is free if you pre-register online, and there is an abundance of information available on every aspect of being your own boss,” she says. “It’s really time to stop dreaming and start doing.”
