Fastway Couriers and Roses are Red Spread the Love across Auckland
With romantics flocking to the web in unprecedented numbers, Fastway Couriers Auckland and Auckland based online florist, Roses are Red, have expanded their relationship in preparation for this year's Valentine's Day. Roses are Red Operations Manager and No.1 Florist, Jane Rickit, says her company will rely on Fastway Couriers to handle more than a month worth of deliveries in the space of just a few hours.
"We've already doubled the amount of business we did last year and due to the increased demand, we've expanded our relationship with Fastway Couriers Auckland. Fastway Couriers will now handle the majority of our deliveries across the city on this special day," says Rickit.
Fastway Couriers Executive Director, Jason Windhager, says Fastway Couriers at each of the franchise's 21 depots across New Zealand are preparing to deliver thousands of gifts to lucky individuals.
"Valentine's Day has grown over the past five years to become one of Fastway's busiest days of the year, with Auckland leading the way. In 2013 we expect to see about a 50% increase in the amount of deliveries we process on the day in Auckland alone," says Windhager.
Rickit says Fastway Couriers mightn't be specialist floral couriers, but they offer several key advantages for online businesses such as Roses are Red.
"We needed a delivery partner who we could trust to handle these large volumes. Fastway Couriers Auckland offered Roses are Red access to an efficient, New Zealand-wide courier network to ensure prompt and hassle free delivery. It doesn’t matter how gorgeous the gifts are – we can only be as good as our delivery service so it pays to partner with the best," says Rickit.
Rickit predicts more New Zealanders will opt to give 'classic' gifts to their loved ones over more expensive options this year with red roses, chocolates, soft toys and champagne proving more popular than ever before.
