More than 100 Fastway Courier Franchisees and support staff across Australia and New Zealand will be grooming, trimming and waxing for a cause for Movember 2013.
Richard Thame, CEO of Fastway Couriers, says Fastway Couriers will be fostering friendly competition between franchisees and employees, with a range of prizes and incentives to encourage them to get out there and grow.
“Movember is all about raising awareness and vital funds for men’s health, especially prostate cancer and depression. These issues are close to all of our hearts here at Fastway, and this campaign is something our franchisees and staff have been passionate about supporting,” says Richard.
“A shortlist of the network’s best moustaches will be entered into a voting contest, to be decided by Fastway’s Facebook fans. The winner will take home Fastway Couriers’ inaugural ‘Tash of the Year’ trophy and a year’s worth of bragging rights.”
Richard says that the event “speaks to franchisees, driving teamwork and camaraderie.”
“In Brisbane, one Fastway Courier Franchise, Jim Connell shaved off a 35 year-old moustache for Movember – but only after successfully daring Courier Franchisee, Clint Burton, to shave his entire head,” says Richard.
“I’d like to congratulate all of our Mo Bros and Mo Sistas on helping to change the face of men’s health. If you see your local courier sporting a moustache, I’d encourage you back them with a donation to their page.”
