Fastway Couriers is preparing for the courier company’s second year supporting Kiss Goodbye to MS, a month-long event aimed at raising funds and awareness for the fight against multiple sclerosis. During May, Fastway Couriers will hold a number of fundraising events as well as packaging, collecting and delivering more than 500 boxes of MS merchandise to individuals and businesses across Australia.
Melinda Lewis, Accounts Receivable at Fastway Couriers Sydney, was diagnosed with MS in August last year and says she is excited to manage the packaging and logistics of the project.
“Being involved in Kiss Goodbye to MS this year is something that I’m honoured to be a part of. It’s fantastic that Fastway has recognised the importance of creating awareness of MS amongst our network and across Australia. The team at Fastway Couriers Sydney have thrown their support behind Kiss Goodbye to MS with a range of fun initiatives planned for the month,” says Melinda.
Richard Thame, CEO at Fastway Couriers, says Fastway Couriers encourages franchisees and employees to support causes that make a difference in the community.

Kiss Goodbye to MS is a month-long event organised by MS Research Australia, aimed at raising much needed funds for multiple sclerosis research. . Throughout May, Australians are encouraged to wear red lipstick, dare themselves to do something a little unusual to raise funds or share their MS experiences with others.
Melinda, her husband, Andrew, and select Fastway Couriers staff attended a VIP cocktail reception to celebrate the launch of Kiss Goodbye to MS 2014 at NSW Parliament House on Wednesday, 30 April. The event was hosted by Channel 9’s Deborah Knight and attended by Kiss Goodbye to MS Ambassador and Australian sports icon, Ellyse Perry.
The Fastway Couriers Sydney depot also held a BBQ event, sponsored by Renault, on 2 May.
