The Franchise Council of Australia is pleased to announce the founder and chairman of Quest Apartment Hotels, Paul Constantinou AM, as the 2020 Australian Franchise Hall of Fame inductee. The Franchise Hall of Fame recognises the outstanding contribution of individuals to franchising. Members of the Hall of Fame are inducted due to their embodiment of the values that underpin successful franchise operations and their contribution to ongoing success of the broader Australian franchising community.
About Paul Constantinou AM After beginning his career in the tourism and hospitality industry, by the mid-1980s, at the age of 30, Paul had an extensive background in owning and operating successful accommodation and food and beverage businesses. But his experience had also highlighted a gap in the accommodation market for the extended-stay traveller, particularly those travelling for business. He opened his first Quest Apartment Hotel in in Fitzroy, Melbourne, in 1988 and the first franchise quickly followed. Today, Paul has grown his unique franchise business model to include more than 170 properties, making Quest the largest serviced apartment provider in Australasia and the leader in business-format franchising within the accommodation industry in Australasia. Paul’s achievements in building the Quest Apartment Hotels from scratch and with no capital demonstrates his innovative thinking, tireless drive and preparedness to embrace any challenge. In doing so he has created career opportunities and enabled hundreds of franchisees to achieve their own business success that, marking him as a true visionary who has significantly contributed to the broader story of a successful franchise sector. |
