Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses has been refining its recipe for bakery-café success for 115 years – and is offering 10 people a $50,000 grant to kick-start their own small business dream.
Established in 1901, the bakery chain now has 63 stores across Victoria with 59 of them operated by franchisees.
Chief Executive Officer and fourth generation baker Steve Plarre says the family has had 115 years to perfect their bakery-café business model.
“Since 1901 we’ve traded through World Wars and depressions. We’ve served the Queen of England and the President of the United States. During that time, we’ve learned a lot, built an incredible retail system and worked hard to get our model right. We’re now ready to grow,” Plarre says.
Ferguson Plarre is celebrating its long standing success by launching a $500,000 Franchise Incentive Program.
“Our Franchise Incentive Program provides financial support to passionate people with a small business dream to join the Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses network in Victoria. We are very excited to be offering ten quality candidates the opportunity to kick-start their small business dream with a $50,000 head start,” Plarre says.
“Franchisees deliver the most important service in our business – they sell happiness. Having committed, charismatic franchisees running our stores sits at the heart of this recipe for success,” Plarre says.
Applications are now open and will close on 31 December 2016.
