Grill’d Waurn Ponds shouts lunch for locals
THEY say there is no such thing as a free lunch but Grill’d Waurn Ponds is proving them wrong by offering lucky diners unlimited free burgers this Friday 20 June from 11am-2pm as they unveil their newest restaurant in Geelong.
The latest restaurant addition to join Waurn Ponds Shopping Centre will feature a wide range of fresh and healthy options including 100% grass fed, free range beef and lamb burgers, lean chicken and vegetarian burgers, a range of salads and steak sandwiches, complemented by an extensive list of local craft beers, ciders and wine.
Grill’d founder Simon Crowe said the Waurn Ponds restaurant will more than satisfy the demand for healthy, convenient food options in the area.
“Geelong locals have been asking us to open a Grill’d for a long time so we are excited to celebrate our long-awaited arrival with free burgers this Friday. I encourage all burger-lovers and Grill’d first-timers to come down and try the Grill’d offering on us,” Simon said.
“Grill’d is more than just a great tasting, healthy burger restaurant. We place a huge emphasis on offering a casual environment where people of all ages can enjoy a wholesome meal and spend time with their friends and family.”
While Grill’d will this year celebrate a decade in the healthy burger business, Simon says they are not interested in developing a “big company” attitude, and each restaurant remains focused on local community initiatives.
This attitude is reflected in the Grill’d community donation program, Local Matters, which sees each restaurant across the country donate $500 to three local community groups each month. When customers buy a burger they are given a token to pop in a donation jar of the group they would like to support.
Wombat’s Wish, Geelong Food Relief Centre and Grovedale Auskick are the first three local community groups to be supported by Grill’d Waurn Ponds through the Local Matters program.
Located within Waurn Ponds Shopping Centre, Grill’d Waurn Ponds will be open seven days for lunch and dinner from Saturday 21 June. For more information about Grill’d visit www.grilld.com.au.
