Hotondo Homes are very excited to announce their partnership with Make-A-Wish® Australia.
Make-A-Wish bring hope, strength and joy to seriously ill children by helping grant their wishes. Wishes have healing power and provide children with life-threatening medical conditions a unique experience they’ll never forget.
“We had been looking for a charity to align our brand with but nothing felt like the right fit until we came across Make-A-Wish,” said National Marketing Manager Jodie Flower.
“Every family experiences different difficulties and Make-A-Wish doesn’t focus on one particular illness which is what drew us to them.”
“In addition, we are a family oriented business. Hotondo Homes is owned by two brothers and most our franchisees are made up of families. Something we loved about Make-A-Wish is that they include the whole family in the wish experience.”
The new partnership was launched at the national Hotondo Homes conference held in October.
“Make-A-Wish CEO, Gerard Menses, was a guest presenter and spoke about the life changing impacts and healing powers of having a wish granted. We also heard from a wish recipient, Joshua, who had the audience in hysterics as he remembered his wish” continued Ms Flower.
Hotondo Homes franchisees were very emotional about the new partnership. It struck a chord very close to many of their hearts as most of them have children and can empathise with being put in that position.
Franchisees have embraced the new partnership and are conducting different fundraising events in their local community to raise much needed funds.
Evan Garnaut, Sales Consultant for Hotondo Homes Port Pirie in South Australia, ran for 24 straight. He raised over $11,000!
Two Melbourne based franchisees are hosting a golf day in March with hopes to raise around $20,000.
Not all fundraising efforts need to be this extravagant. Every donation, no matter the size, helps bring a wish closer to being fulfilled.
“Some franchisees are donating money from each new investment home contract they sign, while others are showing their support by having donation tins in their offices and display homes,” continued Ms Flower.
Hotondo Homes are excited to see how much money they can raise throughout the franchise network to help make wishes come true and change the lives of families throughout Australia.
