Huxtaburger Expansion Deal Confirmed

Australian burger brand, Huxtaburger has secured a 10 site exclusive development franchise partnership in New South Wales with further plans to grow across Asia.

Starting with a mid-September grand opening at Huxtaburger’s first Sydney location in Redfern, the Huxta-team are excited to announce a substantial franchising deal promising a state-wide expansion with experienced partners, Yesdac.

The announcement sees the group continue its strong growth and moves the network to 20 franchised locations signed up and spread across 3 states. The deal facilitated and negotiated by Huxtaburger’s franchise partners, DC Strategy – the same group who has assisted the growth of many leading franchise brands over the last 35 years including Ben & Jerry’s and Australia Post – continues the successful transition of Huxtaburger from a 4 store company operation founded in 2011, to currently one of Australia’s leading franchise opportunities.

The NSW-based partners, the Yesdac Group, is an investment company which operate in the events, gaming, F&B and marketing space. A few brands managed under their umbrella include Hive Gaming, Mydarts and Launch Social. The company fits perfectly in alignment with the Huxtaburger goals and team, adding great value to the Huxtaburger network.

“We are very proud to become a part of the Huxtaburger tribe in Sydney with our train station inspired restaurant that looks amazing and will serve up some of the best burgers Sydney has seen. We’ve introduced some of the best local elements of Redfern in the design and are looking to create a dining experience that people will thoroughly enjoy and come back for. Sydneysiders will begin to see Huxtaburger in more than just Redfern soon; with a number of other key locations to come on board soon. We love our Sydney brands and are here to stay!” – Edmond & Brad, Yesdac Directors

This exclusive agreement that will see 10 restaurants open in NSW has been confirmed by the Huxtaburger management team and their franchise partners, this week.

“We are very excited to announce the Huxtaburger NSW & Asian Franchise Expansion Agreement with Yesdac. We have been searching for high performing partners to open multiple sites and develop regions across Australia and Asia. Yesdac bring a new level of sophistication to Hux Group with investments and experience in events, gaming, food & beverage and marketing. We are very lucky to have Edmond & Brad join the Huxta-tribe who will soon be a major part of our inner sanctum in our national and international expansion.” – Matt Fickling, Huxtaburger CEO.

The deal, which involved negotiations between the groups over the past 6 months, with the assistance of DC Strategy’s recruitment and legal division, will provide a positive boost for future franchisees and investors.

“The premium burger segment of the global foodservice environment is growing rapidly but it takes outstanding brands, people and operations to be in the top quartile of this highly competitive market. Huxtaburger has now arrived at that tipping point and is attracting not only more customers and more revenue but a better quality of business oriented entrepreneurs who can see the differentiation and innovation that is launching the Huxtaburger brand to greater heights.” – Rod Young Chairman DC Strategy.

The announcement comes less than three months after the company launched into Western Australia with their first site, located on Hay Street in Perth. Construction has also started on their Fremantle site where franchise partners are currently in the later stages of the approval process.

“Huxtaburger are focused on building quality partnerships in every aspect of their business. Their staff, suppliers and customers are all put first. This is also true with their approach to their franchise partners. They want to work with great people who share their values and want to build something special. My role has been to assist in ensuring only the very best franchise candidates join the network and this NSW announcement certainly fits this brief. Yesdac have been a fantastic group to work with and I look forward to watching them drive the brand right across NSW and into Asia ” – James Young, DCS Recruitment.

The NSW exclusive partner will also work with Huxtaburger in rolling out future stores in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and China. Keep an eye out for more announcements to come from the Huxtaburger team with their quality burgers sure to find their way to multiple countries in Asia and right across Australia.
