Gold Coast award winning air conditioner cleaning and service business, Hydrokleen, has signed up three new franchises increasing their network to 21 nationally.
Franchisees in Tasmania, Perth and Glen Innes have all committed to the patented air conditioning cleaning system that now operates in most states and territories.
The Parkwood based master franchisor, established by Sharon Jurd and John Sanders in 2009, has experienced rapid growth since its inception, at one time signing 12 new franchises in as many months.
Ms Jurd says the new franchise in Tasmania is the first in that state, while the NSW and WA franchises added to the already well-known brand.
“Signing a Tasmanian franchise is a major milestone for the company as it completes our Eastern seaboard reach,” Ms Jurd says.
“Glenn Innes is our second NSW franchise and Perth is also a major market to enter.
“We now only need to secure franchisees in the ACT and South Australia to have true national coverage.”
The company has been proactive in developing its own technologies and products, having just developed the third generation of their “no mess, no splash” cleaning device, as well as their own environmentally-friendly cleaning products.
“Up until we started, the air conditioner cleaning industry was quite fractured, and almost didn’t exist in its own right,” Ms Jurd says.
“Because of this, we’ve had to develop our own ways of doing things as there hasn’t been any precedent for what we do.
“Ultimately though, this has given us a real point of difference against other service providers, and now we take a lot of pride in being able to tell our customers that our products and processes are developed in-house in order to provide them with the best results.”
Ms Jurd says when identifying potential franchisees they have traditionally targeted established air conditioning companies, however the evolution of the franchise system now allows for a wider range of people to become involved.
“While targeting existing air conditioning companies has really paid off for us, we are now looking to broaden our market as the business is an excellent opportunity for all types of people wanting to own a successful franchise,” Ms Jurd says.
“There’s been excellent enquiry from across the country from both technicians and those wanting a lifestyle business that they can easily run themselves, even if they haven’t had any air conditioning experience.
“With a hotter than expected spring and an even hotter summer on the way we anticipate both franchise enquiry and call for our services for both residential and commercial air conditioning cleans to only get busier.”
HydroKleen has developed the most comprehensive method for cleaning split system air conditioning units, eliminating a range of contaminants that are commonly found, significantly improving the quality of the air, and reducing power consumption.
The company was founded after extensive research found a need for speeding up the process of servicing and cleaning split system air conditioners, especially given that nearly every household has one or more air conditioner of some sort, and there was no industry standard for the servicing and cleaning of air conditioners.
The HydroKleen system can completely wet wash and sanitise an air conditioner with a no splash, no mess result, and allows for ease of use in people’s homes with the facility to carry out a pressure wash without damaging property, a major point of difference within the air conditioning industry.
