Innovative new café model launches in South East QLD

Everyone could use a European inspired getaway, even if just for a few moments on a coffee break. In a nod to the brand’s extensive French heritage, leading Australian café franchise Michel’s Patisserie has undergone a major refresh to bring consumers an innovative new French-inspired café experience.

The new Michel’s Patisserie & Café has launched in South East Queensland, with the first ever concept store opened in Robina Town Centre on the Gold Coast soon to be followed by cafés in Loganholme and the Gold Coast Hinterland.

The Patisserie & Café features the same great products as Michel’s with a little extra; breakfast and light lunch options to complete a café style food menu.

Sleek and stylish, the stores have the feel of a charming, corner café plucked straight from the heart of Paris while offering a full café menu including breakfast and lunch..

Michel’s Patisserie Managing Director Alicia Atkinson said the model gives potential franchisees an exciting new option within the Michel’s Patisserie brand; a full menu café in addition to a specialist patisserie.

“We’re excited to be bringing our new store model and we are confident the enhanced store look and feel coupled with the extensive menu offering is the future of Michel’s Patisserie,” said Alicia.

“Interest in the new-look store has seen franchise enquiries for the last quarter increase over 50% compared to 2014 and stores already on the ground have been achieving great results.”

Recently winning their fourth consecutive ‘Coffee Shop of the Year’ award, Alicia believes Michel’s Patisserie has a strong coffee culture that, coupled with the new enhanced menu offering, will see the brand continue to perform in the competitive Australian café market.

“Whether you’re coming in for lunch with friends, a quick coffee break or just to pick up your special order celebration cake for a family event, the Patisserie & Café will be there to share your special moments,” she said.
