IWG to focus on suburban and regional expansion across New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania and New Zealand

This will include inaugural sites planned for Tasmania, as well as developments in regional pockets across New South Wales and Queensland. The New Zealand strategy will focus on partnering with individuals and groups to cement its brand and services in major cities, such as Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland.

The high demand for flexible workspace continues to grow as more and more people adapt to a new way of working. IWG signed their first Australian franchise deal with Queensland NightOwl Convenience owners – Adam and Katrina Adams last year in 2020, which will see a number of new centres opened across regional Queensland.

By 2030, it is predicted that 30% of all commercial real estate will be flexible workspace while flexible working will be worth AUD 14.5 trillion+ to the economies of 16 leading countries alone, including Australia.
Franchise locations are now available to own across Australia and New Zealand, including Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Brisbane, Wellington and Auckland. There is also a focus on regional areas with towns such as Bendigo, Ballarat and parts of the Central Coast all set to see an influx of flexible-working business centres through IWG and the magnitude of coworking brands such as Regus and Spaces.
