Just Cuts Donates $10,000 to the Royal Flying Doctors Service

Just Cuts Owners from all over Australia and New Zealand arrived in Alice Springs, NT on Monday 23 July to kick off the 2018 Just Cuts International Conference. This conference marks a return to the Northern Territory for Just Cuts after visiting 20 years ago for the conference of 1998.

On the evening of Tuesday 24 July, Just Cuts delegates made the trip to the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) tourism facility in Alice Springs for a very special BBQ event celebrating their long-term partnership. During the visit Just Cuts Owners presented the RFDS with a $10,000 donation cheque to mark the occasion. Since partnering with the RFDS, Just Cuts has donated over $400,000 to the cause, helping the RFDS of Australia provide extensive primary health care and 24-hour emergency services to people living in rural and remote areas of Australia. This figure is made up from donations made by Clients, Stylists and Owners in salons across Australia and through various fundraising initiatives throughout the year.

“We had such a wonderful time at the RFDS Alice Springs tourism facility. We got to see first-hand how our partnership supports the amazing work they do. The Just Cuts Owners were thrilled to join our CEO Denis McFadden to present the $10,000 cheque to the RFDS during the visit. It was a really symbolic moment returning to Alice Springs after 20 years and being able to honour a charity very close to our hearts right there in the outback” Said Amber Turnbull, Just Cuts General Manager.

After taking a guided tour of the facility, delegates enjoyed an on-site outback BBQ with the RFDS Alice Springs team.
