126 delegates from 67 stores around Australia gathered together at Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush for the annual Luxaflex Window Fashions Alliance Conference on 13 and 14 August 2019. Celebrating 65 years of the Luxaflex brand in Australia, the conference focused on a “Best Practice” theme, designed and organised to help build and strengthen the dealer’s businesses for the year ahead.
With a new conference format and theme this year, the compact two-day event covered essential business learning practices. Dealers from across the country were introduced to the new fabrics, hardware and product innovations unveiled by the Luxaflex Window Fashions team, ahead of the upcoming season.
Keynote speaker Marty Wilson, a TED Speaker on behaviour change and resilience, best-selling author and former Australian Comic of the year, combined powerful messages with humour, transferring the theme of “Best Practice” into a message aimed to motivate and empower.
Celebrating talent within the Luxaflex Window Fashions portfolio, the conference held two award ceremonies. The Luxaflex Showcase Gala Dinner held on 11 August saw Suttle Shades take home the Luxaflex National Showcase Dealer of the Year Award, whilst the Luxaflex Gallery Gala Dinner, hosted by the Three Birds Renovations on 14 August, celebrated 15 years of the Gallery Program and saw HFT Interiors be awarded Luxaflex National Gallery of the Year.
