Michel’s Patisserie has been named Coffee Shop of the Year for 2013, after winning Roy Morgan’s Customer Satisfaction Award within the café/coffee shop category for eleven of the twelve months during 2013. This is the third consecutive year the coffee and patisserie specialist has won this title.
Up against a strong pool of competitors including McCafe, Muffin Break, The Coffee Club, Gloria Jeans, Hudsons Coffee, Donut King and Starbucks, Michel’s Patisserie was chosen as the cream of the crop in Roy Morgan’s independent survey of over 50,000 consumers.
Michel’s Patisserie Managing Director Tracey Catterall said the award was a reflection of Michel’s dedication to coffee excellence from crop to cup.
“Michel’s Patisserie has more than 600 qualified Baristas working throughout our network of over 300 outlets, and we make millions of perfect cups of coffee every year,” said Ms Catterall.
“Australia’s only internationally certified Quality Coffee Grader and Roaster, Mick Kiely, oversees the roasting of our premium coffee blend in our own dedicated roasting facility.
“We put our Baristas through rigorous training as part of their nationally recognised certification process so we can ensure consistency and quality in every cup of coffee made at any of our stores.
“Our goal is to have the best Baristas in Australia, making the best tasting coffee for our loyal customers.”
Michel’s Patisserie has won a number of independent accolades, including a Bronze Medal at the 2013 Annual Golden Bean Roasting Competition, a Gold Medal at the 2012 Annual Golden Bean Roasting Competition and Best Tasting Coffee in Australia by CHOICE Magazine in 2010.
