Muffin Break Mudgee this week introduced new ‘crib packs’, specifically created for the store’s local mining community.
The newest franchise of the premium bakery-café opened its doors in Mudgee Monday, with unique operating hours and products to cater to the local community.
The store will open at 5am Monday – Saturday (later on Sunday mornings) to cater to the early start time for workers and will offer freshly-prepared ready-to-go ‘crib packs’ that can sustain miners during a long day in the field. The packs will be freshly made each morning in-store and will each include a muffin, muesli bar, seasonal fruit and soft drink plus a choice of wrap, tartlet, pie, sausage roll and dessert.
The Foodco Group (owner of the Muffin Break brand) works with all new franchisees to help them tailor their menu to best suit the local community. In the case of Mudgee, many residents work in the mining industry so new franchise owners Mark and Astrid Ford wanted to provide a service that would best cater to their needs.
“We chose a franchise business for the support, experience and track record that a parent company can provide. Muffin Break has fully supported us from the beginning in adapting our menu and operating hours to ensure we best meet the needs of our local community, and ultimately build our business with a solid foundation,” said Mark and Astrid.
Muffin Break Brand Manager John Macphail echoed the new franchisee’s sentiments, reinforcing the opportunity for stores across the country to adapt their menu to reflect their customers’ wants and needs.
“With more than 195 Muffin Break stores spread out across the country, we understand that each Muffin Break franchisee has a unique customer base. To cater to their needs and ultimately boost sales for franchisees, we work with franchisees to tweak their menu and operating hours to best suit their local community,” Mr Macphail said.
