Olympian Libby Trickett helps Crust Pizza Go for Business Gold

The smells of pizza and sporting success were thick in the air at Torrensville QLD last week when the local Crust Gourmet Pizza outlet hosted a visit from Olympic swimming legend Libby Trickett.

Crust Gourmet Pizza Torrensville owner Mark Hofmeyer received the special visit from the champion freestyler last Friday after claiming the South Australian prize in the Telstra “Go For Business Gold” competition, a nation-wide search to find outstanding motivators among two-million of the country’s small to medium-sized businesses.

Entrants had to show how they excelled at motivating staff, themselves or their customers, with finalists from across the nation gathering for a business master class in Sydney.

As a result of Mr Hofmeyer’s success during the finals campaign, he won a visit to his business from Trickett, one of Australia’s leading swimmers who won her fourth Olympic gold medal at the London Games as part of the successful Australian women’s 4 X 100 relay team.

Mr Hofmeyer used the occasion to bring Student Representative Council members from local high schools together to hear the famous Olympian talk about her personal motivations.

"Our community's young leaders need inspiring figures in their lives and we thought the chance to hear from Libby was a fantastic opportunity that needed to be shared,” Mark said.
