Pizza Hut is looking to shake up the pizza market in New Zealand, opening its first brand new store in six years as a first step to continued expansion in the market.
The new store in Te Awamutu opened on Friday is operated by up-and-coming franchisee Satyan Mehra.
“Our team was excited to open the new store and celebrated with a grand opening day the whole community enjoyed.
Pizza Hut Head of Development, Andy Masood said the opening of the new outlet signalled a renewed focus on the market and was an exciting time for the brand.
“We’re thrilled to see the brand expanding once again in New Zealand. There are a number of additional expansion opportunities in the region and anyone looking to align themselves with a global brand should certainly consider speaking to us,” Masood said.
Mehra added: “I always wanted to own my own business and was instantly attracted to Pizza Hut because of its global presence and transparency through being a listed company.
