Quest Appoints New Chief Operations Officer
Hotelier David Mansfield has been appointed Chief Operations Officer at Quest Apartment Hotels. David Mansfield will work closely with Quest General Manager – Franchise Operations, David Ridgeway to manage critical functions of Quest’s business format franchise model.
Quest Founder and Chairman, Paul Constantinou said Mr Mansfield’s experience delivering strategy and operations support to major accommodation providers in Asia-Pacific will add value to Quest’s franchise network.
“David will provide further collective strength in strategic decision making and leadership for the Quest corporate office and guide operational support across the franchise network.”
“This is an important role for the ongoing success of our franchise business and an exciting development of our operations function,” Mr Constantinou said.
David Mansfield will take on the leadership of Business Transitions and Quest Academy teams. Quest General Manager – Franchise Operations, David Ridgeway will continue to manage Quest’s Franchise Relationship Management team, Franchise Establishment and Franchise Support roles.
David Mansfield said Quest’s business format franchise model has reached a tipping point in Australia’s accommodation sector.

strategy to this model,” Mr Mansfield said. Most recently David was Area General Manager for IHG in Melbourne and Canberra."
Currently, David serves as the Chairman of the National Advisory Board of Employment at the Accommodation Association of Australia. David has over 30 years’ experience working in senior corporate and strategic management positions in locations across Asia, the Middle East and the Pacific. David has extensive experience in hotels and resorts with roles focused on-site development and pre-opening, redevelopment planning and execution, profitability, legal and financial fiduciary and oversight of stakeholder investments. Specific areas of expertise include operations capability and excellence, asset management, value creation, strategic alignment and positioning, concept development and cultural change.
