Since arriving on Australian turf, American burger giant Carl’s Jr. has found a comfortable home amongst a competitive market of quick-service restaurants. A driving force behind Carl’s Jr. success is the Bansal Group and their unprecedented efforts to deliver Carl’s Jr. to an eager Queensland market.
The Bansal Group was today awarded with the Special Recognition Award for Outstanding Achievement at QSR Media’s annual Sandhurst Awards.
Since January 2018, the Bansal Group has opened a whopping eight new restaurants in Queensland. Each opening has been highly successful, with Pimpama cracking the top three best-performing stores globally in their first month of operation, and Redbank Plains landing in the top five.
Earlier this year, the Bansal Group was also recognised as International Developer of the Year 2018 by Carl’s Jr, parent company, CKE Restaurants, for their successful expansion in Queensland.
The Bansal Group Director, Gaurav Bansal, said he’s delighted by QSR’s award. “It’s been an incredible year for our team, but we’ve worked really hard so it’s an honour to be recognised for those efforts and receive a coveted industry award. I’m looking forward to sharing it with the team.”
Based on their strong sales record, the Bansal Group will continue expanding the Carl’s Jr. brand in Queensland. The group isn’t slowing down anytime soon, and they’re on course to have more openings in the second half of 2019, and in 2020. They’ll also be bringing the Cinnabon brand to Australia in 2019, with the first stores set to open in SE Qld later this year.
