Red Rooster Appoints New CEO, Chris Green
Chris Green has recently been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Australia’s largest roast chicken restaurant chain, Red Rooster. Green is no stranger to the QSR industry having previously spent 27 years working locally and internationally for McDonald’s, most recently as Vice President, Operations & Franchising in Malaysia.
Rob Coombe, CEO of parent company Quick Service Restaurant Holdings says:
“I spent a lot of time with Chris going through the plans that we have for the brand over the next couple of years and he has lots of exciting ideas as well. I am very impressed with his energy, expertise, resilience and passion for results. Chris is set to be a huge asset to our company and I’m really looking forward to having him on board. Chris’ appointment will also free me up to explore growth opportunities for all three of the QSRH brands.”
After re-launching the brand last year, Red Rooster has emphasised their focus on menu innovation and customer experience. After proactively removing all artificial colours, flavours and added MSG from their kitchen made menu, further initiatives have included broadening the salad offering including giving customers the option to swap chips for salad and expanding the pulled Roast Chicken range across breadlines including the introduction of the Salad Roast Chicken Roll. This is set to continue over the coming months with more seasonal menu items to be launched as well as a one of a kind partnership.
Chris Green says:
“I’m happy to have joined Red Rooster at such an exciting time and look forward to accelerating the current momentum established since the brand relaunch. We have an amazing opportunity to turbo charge the sales growth of our existing restaurants through delivering an exceptional customer experience, refurbishing restaurants inside & out, and introducing great new menu options. We will be opening even more restaurants leading to opportunities for both current & new franchisees. In addition to this we have a strong innovation pipeline with our soon to be launched “Red Royalty” app which will reward our loyal customers as well as provide on-line ordering for our growing home delivery business”.
