Retail Food Group Appoints New Head of Procurement

ASX-Listed global food and beverage company, Retail Food Group Limited (RFG), is bolstering growth within its Commercial Division with the recent appointment of a new Head of Procurement.

Frank Alessio, a seasoned procurement leader with over 15 years’ experience, will provide strategic oversight to the Company’s Commercial Division, which has expanded significantly over the past year to support RFG’s commercial operations; a key pillar of growth for the global food and beverage business.

Frank recently assumed his newly-created position at RFG’s Tullamarine office based in Victoria, joining the Company with a wealth of experience across strategy development, direct/indirect procurement, supply chain, operations, governance, project management and leading organisational change on a global scale.

RFG’s Director of Commercial, Craig Faulkner, said that Frank’s experience includes extensive and relevant practice in managing procurement and supply services on a global scale, for a number of different corporations and industries.

“Frank is an ambitious and strategic leader with proven capability in procurement and supply chain, and maintains experience in overcoming adversity to develop and implement long-term sustainable solutions,” he said.

“He will be responsible for leading the transformation of RFG’s procurement function and will provide strategic oversight to the team whilst supporting the Company’s evolving global status and driving internal procurement and supply chain operations.”

Frank joins the business from Melco-Crown Entertainment where he held the position of Vice President – Procurement & Supply Chain, and managed the centralised service functions supporting the business’ properties in Macau. As well, his previous role entailed restructuring the entire procurement and supply chain capability for General Motors in Russia.

“Frank will be instrumental in delivering success across a number of the Company’s core platforms, and driving long-term growth through sustainable solutions and improvements,” said Craig.

RFG is a global food and beverage company, with a network of more than 2,550 outlets spanning 80 licensed international territories across 12 Brand Systems, including some of Australia’s most well-known and loved retail food brands.
