In its second annual Store Operations Superstar Awards, Retail TouchPoints recognised Bedshed’s touchscreen solution, which contains a motion detection device designed to directly respond to customers.
Bedshed Chief Operating Officer, Gavin Culmsee, said the company is committed to utilising technology to better serve its customers and was delighted to receive the award.
“We are always looking for ways to say ahead of the pack and this Australian-first retailing technology has proven to be very successful in the two stores currently operating the 42” concierge screens,” Mr Culmsee said.
“The technology has enhanced Bedshed’s already high customer service standard and has provided analytics and customer insights, which are invaluable from a business perspective,” he said.
“Customers are really enjoying the Mattress Assist function, which allows them to search by brand, size and also their unique and specific reason for purchasing a new bed,” said Mr Culmsee.
“The more we learn about our customers’ needs and interests the more we can do to satisfy them and innovative technology allows us to effectively meet these needs,” he said.
Mr Culmsee said Bedshed remains dedicated to customer service and the benefits it brings to its franchisees. Bedshed will continue to distribute the technology across its national network by offering opportunities for franchisees to upgrade their stores. Bedshed is currently expanding and is looking for franchisees to join its successful and constantly growing network of stores.
