To celebrate the launch of the decadent Seafood Phở meal (available for a limited time with a side of Flaming Prawns and a water for just $16), Roll’d will be flying a few lucky winners and their friends to Melbourne for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Winners will join Michelin star chef Jonathan Alston (Mama’s Bưởi, Baby, Scusa Mi), Roll’d Co-Founder and CEO Bao Hoang and the woman who inspired the Vietnamese juggernaut – Mama Hoang on a phở-nomenal journey.
Bao Hoang’s family escaped Vietnam by boat with nothing but the knowledge of their traditional recipes. Growing up surrounded by delicious food and family, Roll’d is inspired by Hoang’s Mum and Aunt’s homestyle Vietnamese cooking.
Hoang said of his mother’s delicacies, “Being raised by mum in a fairly traditional home, all my best memories were surrounded by her food. We’re so excited to give people the chance to learn some of her secrets alongside Jonathan, who is our resident culinary genius.”
This special afternoon will begin with an adventure through Melbourne’s famed South Melbourne markets to source fresh produce. Winners will learn the secrets of Mama Hoang’s noodle soup consisting of fragrant broth, flat rice noodles, an array of herbs, and some of Melbourne’s freshest seafood.
