Roll’d to Donate $2 from Every Bún Sale

From October 23 to October 29 2017 Australian Vietnamese- inspired QSR, Roll’d will donate $2 from every Bún sale to their partner charity, Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation in recognition of Children’s Day.

Roll’d stores nation-wide are currently promoting the Bún (a Vietnamese noodle salad) for $10, with the opportunity to ‘Roll into a Meal’ for only an additional $5 to include a regular drink and side. As part of their new “Love the Journey” brand communication platform, Roll’d will be featuring a different menu item each month to encourage customers to explore their menu.

$2 from every sale generated from the Bún will be donated to Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation. Customers who purchase a Bún from October 23 to October 29 will not only help children in need, but they will also receive a $2 token to use at their next visit.

Rolld Co-Founder and CEO, Bao Hoang has been working closely with Blue Dragon Founder and CEO Michael Brosowski over the past two years to raise both funds and awareness for the Australian not-forprofit. The original focus of the partnership was to build a boarding house in Dien Bien, Vietnam. In 2016 the boarding house opened and was met with such success and high demand that a pledge to open a second in a neighboring village was made.

“Children growing up in extreme poverty often have no choice but to quit school and move far from home which exposes them to dangers such as trafficking, homelessness, sexual exploitation, drug abuse, and illness. We want to combat this by providing housing and education to these children and give them a chance to dream big, and dream safe.” says Hoang.

Blue Dragon was founded in 2003 by Australian teacher Michael Brosowski AM. Michael Brosowski is a former English teacher from Sydney who came to Vietnam in 2002 to teach English at the University of Economics. Instead, Michael found himself teaching English to a group of kids he never expected to meet: shoeshine boys who walked the streets trying to earn enough money to survive. In 2011 Michael was named one of CNN’s Heros and later in 2012 received an order of Australia in recognition of his work defending the rights of Vietnamese Children.
