Franchise point-of-sale specialist, Shift8, has kicked off 2014 with five new client wins, taking its roster from 600 to 700 sites nationally.
New Zealand Natural, Pita Pan, Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses, Healthy Habits and Puckles are the latest franchisors to sign up to the Sydney company’s comprehensive reporting and management system.
With Shift8 recently announcing plans to double its growth this year, founder Jonathon Britton said the new wins were a huge step towards hitting the business’s 2014 growth target.
“We’ve had a really exciting start to the year which is just what we hoped for,” he said.
“This follows on from a great 2013 which saw us achieve more than 200 per cent year-on-year growth.
“We have ambitious targets again for the year ahead including doubling our turnover, so winning five established franchises before the end of February has set us up well for the coming 12 months.”
Founded by Mr Britton and fellow directors Amy Renae, Yvette Anelli and Alden Zhou in early 2012, Shift8 offers franchisors a comprehensive point of sale (POS) system that goes a step further than traditional products by providing functionality such as staff rostering, timesheets, KPI benchmarks and online cash up as well as sales reporting.
Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses CEO, Steve Plarre, said Shift8 offered a unique proposition that directly addressed the demands of his franchise network.
“The product has been developed specifically for franchises and this is clear in both the functionality and the data it provides,” he said.
“We’re now able to quickly and efficiently access information that previously would have been near on impossible to get hold of.
“It’s also reassuring to know that the management team behind the product are themselves franchise experts and they really understand what makes us tick. That in itself played a key role in my decision to engage their services.”
