Snap-on Tools Goes Pink and Partners with the McGrath Foundation Raising Over $207,000

Partnering with the McGrath Foundation for Breast Cancer Awareness month, Snap-on Tools has raised $207,547 with its Socket to Breast Cancer initiative. The money raised will be donated to the McGrath Foundation to help fund Breast Care Nurses who provide essential care and support to individuals and families affected by breast cancer.

This ambitious fundraising initiative was supported by local Snap-on businesses across the country and was powered by the sale of Snap-on’s limited-edition Pink Tool Sets, customer and franchisee donations. This incredible fundraising milestone puts Snap-on just shy of its ambitious target of $250,000, with franchisees, customers, and communities across Australia uniting to support this vital cause.

Adam Wright, National Marketing and Product Manager, Snap-on Tools says, “People have rallied behind the Socket to Breast Cancer initiative with all our franchisees and customers digging deep and raising much needed funds and awareness for breast cancer. We are so grateful to see such support and generosity in the local communities in which we operate”.

“We feel fortunate to be part of the automotive community who are committed to making such a meaningful impact. Through the dedication of our franchisees and the support of our customers, we’re able to support the McGrath Foundation’s work to provide vital care to those in need”.

Unfortunately, most Australians know someone diagnosed or impacted by breast cancer. The incidence of breast cancer in Australia is increasing, with 20,973 women and 221 men expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer in Australia this year (that’s one in seven women diagnosed in their lifetime and 58 people diagnosed every day). Whilst early detection is key, as the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia women there is a ripple effect that stretches through families and communities.
