On September 15, “healthy fast food” brand Soul Origin harnessed its renowned community spirit to support the Starlight Foundation at The Footy’s Show’s “Big Change for Little Champions” Telethon.
Soul Origin was part of the team that helped raise over $440,000 for the Starlight Foundation on the night. Soul Origin also provided catering and coffee to fuel the entire call centre volunteer team of 125 people as they tirelessly took calls for donations.
The Soul Origin family is passionate about giving back, both in the local communities around each store, as well as supporting broader causes as a brand. This was a fantastic opportunity to use what they do best – great food and excellent coffee – for a fantastic cause, as well as support the Starlight Foundation with a valuable cash donation.
“We’ve loved having the opportunity to donate these funds at the Telethon to help the Starlight Foundation improve the hospital experiences of sick kids and teenagers,” says Soul Origin General Manager Chris Mavris. “It was also great to be able to fuel Starlight staff and volunteers with coffee, healthy salads, and sandwiches on the night, giving them the energy to raise as much money as possible.”
“We are a family ourselves, so we love what the Starlight Foundation is able to do for families, brightening the lives of seriously ill children and sharing Soul Origin’s philosophy of making a difference through positivity.”
