SUBWAY® DELIVERY LAUNCHES WITH UBER EATS

SUBWAY® Delivery Launches with Uber Eats

Subway has today announced a national strategic partnership with Uber Eats, to offer delivery from more than 700 restaurants across selected Australian cities.

Subway® Australia and New Zealand’s Director of Marketing, Kate Brody said the agreement would allow Subway® restaurants to tap into the rapidly-growing delivery market in Australia, at breakfast, lunch, dinner and anytime in between.

“Subway fans will now have access to delivery of their favourite sandwiches, cookies, wraps and salads through the Uber Eats app –in selected Australian cities,” Ms Brody said.

“Subway now delivers to your door or office with just a few taps on your smartphone with the Uber Eats app.

“We know Australians want freshly made and nutritious lunch delivery choices, however, having your favourite Subway Footlong meal delivered hasn’t been an option for many people until now.

“Not only are all the Subway favourites, such as Meatball and Chicken Teriyaki, available with delivery, fresh new choices such as spicy Buffalo Chicken with Blue Cheese Dressing and Smashed Falafel with Tzatziki are also on the menu.”

Ms Brody said Subway® delivery with the Uber Eats app would inspire people to take a new look at having their food delivered at all times of the day.

“With almost 14,000 searches on the Uber Eats app for ‘sandwiches’ each month, we know Subway delivery will be a game-changer for Subway fans,” she said.

Jodie Auster, Uber Eats General Manager for Australia and New Zealand, commented on the importance of the arrangement: “It’s our mission to make eating well effortless for everyone and with the variety of freshly prepared, nutritious sandwiches available at Subway we’re excited that the app now offers this to hungry eaters across Australia.”

“In 2018 alone, lunch orders on the Uber Eats app grew by 102%. We know that searches for “nutritious” options in the app are also increasing and Subway is the perfect partner to help us respond to this demand and provide a greater selection of delicious meals to you whether you’re at work, at home or even at the park.”

To celebrate the launch of Subway® delivery with the Uber Eats app, Uber Eats is offering a $10 promotion to new users of the Uber Eats app who place their first order with Subway. To redeem, enter the promo code 10SUBWAY on the Uber Eats app and place your first order with Subway on or before 30 June 2019.

Delivery was just one of several big changes underway with the Subway® brand, according to Ms Brody, following the official launch of 19 new ingredients on the Subway® menu last month.

“Our exciting new menu options include high-quality ingredients such as streaky bacon, carved turkey, a gluten free wrap and malted rye bread, as well as new zesty sauces and seasonings,” she said.

“If you haven’t tried Subway recently, there’s no better time to make a date with Subway, either in one of our restaurants or delivered via the Uber Eats app.”
