Subway, Australia’s largest quick-service restaurant brand, has launched a nationwide-first grab ‘n’ go menu at one of its busiest retail locations, at the University of Queensland.

The new offer, to be trialled for six months, is part of the brand’s menu evolution and is designed to provide greater convenience for Subway guests.

Subway Regional Public Relations Manager, Amanda Templeton, said the ‘grab ‘n’ go’ menu would allow guests to pick-up a premium pre-made wrap or salad, rather than ordering from scratch.

“Subway is focused on providing more exciting opportunities for Australians to enjoy fresh-food fast – whether that is by skipping the queue through easy online-ordering or with new ‘grab ‘n’ go’ options,” Ms Templeton said.

“We have revitalised core menu with premium-quality ingredients and mouth-watering new flavours, and now we’re providing convenient new options with a ‘grab ‘n’ go’ menu.”

Subway UQ Franchise Owner, Kiran Verma, said the ‘grab ‘n’ go’ menu would cater to guests looking for a hassle-free healthy feed.

“Until now, there has been limited ready-made options available for students looking for a quick bite between classes, while still eating fresh,” Mr Verma said.

“This new menu is an option to skip-the-queue and still eat nutritious salads and wraps, packed full of fresh vegetables.

“Whether it’s between classes, or taking a break from study, this is a pick-up and pay option that allows them to enjoy classic Subway flavours.”

Guests can choose from fan-favourite flavours – Mediterranean Chicken with Pesto Mayo wrap; Roast Beef with Smoky Tomato Chutney wrap; Veggie Delite with Avo wrap; Tuna and Mayo wrap; as well as Smashed Falafel with Tzatziki salad; and Carved Turkey with Cranberry Relish salad.

The launch of Subway’s ‘grab ‘n’ go’ menu follows the launch of Subcard®, Subway’s new loyalty program.

“Order your favourite subs from the comfort of your couch or between emails at your office desk, with the Subway app – and then have it ready to pick-up at your convenience,” Ms Templeton said.

“Our new app is about Aussies having more options to order their favourite subs, salads, wraps, cookies and drinks.”

The Subcard loyalty programme is available online and via the Subway Australia app, as well as with loyalty-cards, that can be snapped up in-restaurant.
