Sydney Airport welcomes Chatime in Australian airport first

Sydney Airport has welcomed Australia’s home of freshly brewed iced tea, Chatime to T1 International in an Australian airport first.

Chatime offers refreshing, iced and bubble tea options created using quality ingredients and innovative flavour combinations, and in a first for the brand, light food is also available.

Customers can select from fresh, fruity, milky, frozen or sparkled teas to enjoy before boarding. Available in green or black, Fruity Tea options include exotic flavours of lychee, pomegranate or guava, as well as familiar favourites, strawberry, tropical and apple, while Frozen Teas include chocolate, coffee and matcha red bean options.

Sparkled Teas, made with refreshing sparkling water, are available in strawberry and guava with black tea or mango and passionfruit with green tea.

Chatime also offers freshly brewed teas such as assam, full of antioxidants, and jasmine, which aids in digestion – and with the option of reduced or no added sugar, the fresh teas are a great option to rehydrate before a flight. For customers seeking an energy boost without opting for caffeine, Chatime also offers a signature, milky matcha latte which enhances mood and helps concentration.

For the first time ever, Chatime has created a selection of golden crispy puffs to complement their extensive tea offering. Available throughout the day, freshly baked combinations include spinach and ricotta, bacon and egg and chicken and mushroom. A sweet alternative of cacao and ricotta rounds out the offering.

Sydney Airport General Manager Retail Glyn Williams said the opening provided further value and choice for customers.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Chatime to Sydney Airport, a hugely successful international franchise that delivers an exciting new concept for customers to enjoy.” Mr Williams said.

Chatime is located in the casual dining precinct at Sydney Airport’s T1 International terminal, before security.
