When it comes to fast-growing business success stories, they don’t get much more dynamic than Rolld.
From 45 employees in 2012-2013, to 435 employees in the most recent financial year, the figures reflect the company’s growth rate of 769% over the 3-year period!
And the momentum shows no sign of slowing…
Rolld first opened its doors in Melbourne just over three years ago as a humble little eatery in the competitive heart of the CBD. Within just a few weeks of opening, Rolld was serving nearly 1000 people each lunchtime and it was then that Rolld Co-Founder and Managing Director, Bao Hoang, knew they were on to something.
Rolld now plans to add as many as 7 outlets to its booming network of 36 existing stores in Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, The ACT and Queensland in the coming months.
Bao says the decision to continue expanding was easy – with Australians deliciously happy to support the healthy flavours of this local version of Vietnamese street food:
“Our original intent for Rolld was to offer a fresh, fast and Vietnamese alternative to sushi. Due to the overwhelming response we’ve had, refining and extending the Rolld concept was an obvious one for us.”
Rolld’s national business expansion is another celebration in what has already been a stellar year – at the recent 2015 Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) Awards, Rolld took the top honours in the Multi-Site Restaurant of The Year category. And just announced, Rolld has been ranked number 11 in the BRW Fast Start awards.
So, where to next, according to Bao?
“Well, weʼre always looking for great family-orientated and passionate business people to join our family. Weʼre excited to announce that we are now in the final planning stages of launching Rolld internationally…. watch this space.”
