The owners of the Nerang and Slacks Creek stores have opened another drive thru site, boasting the largest footprint in the Group, at Acacia Ridge today.
The new Acacia Ridge boasts 290 square metres and is located at 1156 Beaudesert Road, Acacia Ridge in South Brisbane, servicing the suburbs of Acacia Ridge, Archerfield, Durack, Coopers Plains and surrounds.
Franchisees Ben Old, Nicole Luchterhand and Dion Scholz said they enjoyed the Zarraffa’s product, business culture and people so much that they knew at some point they would love to open additional locations.
“The business model is a fantastic one, said Mr Old. “We have just tried to follow the system to the letter, and in our experience this has provided excellent results.”
Mr Old said that there were several unique aspects to the Acacia Ridge site, including its size.
“The store has the largest footprint in the system, and offers significant seating and parking for customer’s convenience.”
“We knew being in an industrial area with a large amount of surrounding businesses that having a place for people to conduct meetings, and be able to relax before and after work, would be popular.”
Mr Old said the entire team was excited about opening at Acacia Ridge for many reasons.
“We can’t wait to expose those working and living in the area to our outstanding product, great service and the convenience of a drive thru store.”
“Many people in the area have early starts, shift work or have to commute past our new location. We are sure the combination of a custom drive thru store, a large restaurant area and being open from 5am until late, will be a hit.”
Zarraffa’s CEO, Kenton Campbell said that the wealth of franchise experience that Ben, Nicole and Dion will bring to the new store will ensure customers receive the well-loved Zarraffa’s Coffee experience from day one.

Mr Campbell said that time and again he was seeing franchisees expand their business into multi-store holdings.

Mr Old believes that to truly immerse yourself in any business and make a success of it you must be an advocate of the product first and foremost.
“I starting drinking coffee at the first Zarraffa’s Coffee store when I lived around the corner, and I still drink Zarraffa’s every day.”
Another firm belief is Mr Old’s regard for the people in his business, noting that they are employing a whole new local team as they feel it is important to offer opportunities to those who live in the area and no one knows the area like a local.
“Any system is only as good as its people and we have a solid team, across our businesses, some of whom have been with us for over 15 years. We pride ourselves on having a family business that offers ongoing stable employment.”
The underpinning factor, however, in the opening of the new Acacia Ridge store appears to be a large degree of enjoyment in the day-to-day.
